2016: The Beginning
Core Cabinets started in the Winter of 2016, when Owner Devin Daniel built his first birdhouse. After gifting it to his great grandmother, Devin realized that he could do so much more. By summer, he was using his mothers basement to build birdhouses, selling well over 100 units.

2017–2019: Devin Daniel Woodworking is Born
Devin leaned into his entrepreneurial spirit, expanding into more than just birdhouses. He started crafting coffee & end tables, book shelves, display racks and more – selling these to local shops and craft fairs. During one of these fairs, a client asked Devin the name of his business. He hadn’t given it much thought before, and thinking on the fly, said “Devin Daniel Woodworking”. From that day on and for the next 8 years, it would be Devin’s brand.
2020: The Start of an Era
On May 14th, 2020, Devin built his first cabinet. Immediately, Devin knew he found his niche. For the following months, he would spend his time honing his cabinetry skills. With this discovery and his business rapidly expanding, Devin soon began to outgrow his space. Still in his mothers basement, he and his mom came to a mutual agreement that more space was needed. This sparked Devin to move to his fathers shop in Evansville, WI, where he would have his own space to work and grow.
2021–2022: Settling Down
As Devin’s business continued to grow, he quickly outgrew his fathers shop as well. This led Devin to move to his own shop in Black Earth, WI. It was here that Devin hired his first employees and started building kitchen cabinets. While this shop afforded more space he desperately needed, it was still not enough. He eventually purchased a property with a house and two shops located in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Over time, he would remodel one of the shops to accommodate his business.
2024: More Space Needed
In 2024, operations yet again needed more space. With only one of the shops remodeled, space for assembly, finishing and cutting was hard to find. Devin remodeled the remaining shop on the property, and by mid-may part of the operations had moved to their new home.
2025-Present: Rebranding
Devin Daniel Woodworking becomes Core Cabinets in June of 2025. This pivoted the company from custom woodworking products to manufacturing quality laminate cabinets. We continue to flourish every day and are soon looking to expand again.
